Full-house UPVC respray on a four-bed Victorian terrace. White frames to anthracite, anthracite garage door, anthracite front door with the original brass furniture retained.
The owners of this four-bed Victorian terrace in Roath loved the house but the white UPVC had yellowed and looked dated against the red Cardiff brick. They wanted a modern, uniform look across every frame without the cost and disruption of replacing sound double-glazed units.

Why Anthracite grey (RAL 7016).
Anthracite grey (RAL 7016) is the most-requested colour in Cardiff for a reason: it sits beautifully against red Victorian brick and instantly modernises a period frontage while still looking timeless. We sprayed it in a 5% matt finish to keep it soft and contemporary.
The prep behind the finish.
Every surface was washed with industrial degreaser, sanded to key the plastic, and wiped down with isopropyl alcohol. Glass, seals, hardware and brickwork were fully masked, a two-pack adhesion primer was applied, then three coats of UV-stable Kolorbond colour. The preparation is around 70% of the work and the reason a respray lasts.
How it changed the property.
A whole-house transformation in two days, with no scaffolding and no replacement glazing. The brass door furniture was polished and refitted, the glass cleaned, and the frames now read as a single, deliberate colour from the pavement.
The frames and glazing units were structurally sound — the only problem was the colour. Respraying kept perfectly good double glazing in place and delivered a factory-style finish for a fraction of the cost of replacement, in days rather than weeks, with no scaffolding and no mess.
