Jet black mid terrace, Llanelli
Mid-terrace UPVC respray on a Llanelli Victorian. Front door and every visible window frame sprayed jet black against cream render. Door furniture cleaned and refitted, one day on site.
A Victorian mid-terrace where the owners wanted a bold, sharp look against cream render. Jet black was the choice — high contrast, modern, and a strong fit for the period proportions.
The surfaces we sprayed.
Why Jet black (RAL 9005).
Jet black (RAL 9005) gives the crispest contrast against light render and is climbing fast as a choice on terraces and new-builds alike. Sprayed in matt, it reads as deliberate and contemporary rather than glossy.
The prep behind the finish.
Every surface was washed with industrial degreaser, sanded to key the plastic, and wiped down with isopropyl alcohol. Glass, seals, hardware and brickwork were fully masked, a two-pack adhesion primer was applied, then three coats of UV-stable Kolorbond colour. The preparation is around 70% of the work and the reason a respray lasts.
How it changed the property.
Front frames and the door were masked, prepped and sprayed in a single day on site. The door furniture was cleaned and refitted, leaving a striking, high-contrast frontage that stands out on the row.
The frames and glazing units were structurally sound — the only problem was the colour. Respraying kept perfectly good double glazing in place and delivered a factory-style finish for a fraction of the cost of replacement, in days rather than weeks, with no scaffolding and no mess.
